Most people know me from social media — but that's not really where this started.

It started on building sites, as a tiler. Early mornings, long days, not a lot to look forward to. I built a social media page mainly to find my own clients, so I could leave that behind and run my own bathroom & tiling company.

Once I did, I wanted to push the standard of my work — learn the mitred corners and resin finishes you see in the best bathrooms. Before trying any of that on a real job, I practiced in my garage. The first thing I made was a small side table.

It wasn't anything special. But standing back and looking at something I'd built entirely myself — no client or brief, just mine — gave me a feeling tiling never had. That's stuck with me ever since.

The social media side of things has grown into its own thing since then. But making pieces by hand, exactly the way I want to make them — is where it started, and it's still what I enjoy most.
